Together, We Shape the Future

Core Responsibilities

As our OT Security Specialist, you will play a key role in strengthening cyber security across Kelvion’s manufacturing and operational technology environments.

This is a senior, hands-on role for an experienced OT security professional who can work independently, quickly understand our current environment and take ownership of driving improvements across our manufacturing sites.

Reporting to the VP Information Security / CISO, you will assess our current OT security maturity and translate your findings into a practical, prioritised programme that supports Kelvion’s wider OT security strategy.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead OT security assessments across Kelvion’s manufacturing sites, identifying OT assets, industrial networks, critical processes, dependencies, existing controls and key areas of cyber risk.
  • Experienced with OT security assessments, using IEC 62443 as the principal framework together with other relevant industrial security standards and good practices.
  • Translate assessment findings into clear, risk-based and achievable remediation roadmaps.
  • Own and drive the OT security improvement programme, taking identified risks and control gaps through to practical implementation with site, engineering, IT and security teams.
  • Develop and implement appropriate OT security standards and minimum controls.
  • Improve OT security monitoring and incident readiness, working with Security Operations and manufacturing teams.
  • Work closely with Plant Directors, Manufacturing, Engineering, Automation, OneIT and external partners to implement improvements without introducing unacceptable production or safety risk.
  • Coordinate specialist OT security providers, OEMs and system integrators where external expertise is required.
  • Maintain a clear view of OT cyber risk, assessment coverage and remediation progress, providing concise reporting to security and manufacturing leadership.

Education and Qualifications

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, operate independently and has practical experience of securing operational technology within manufacturing or comparable industrial environments.

You should bring:

  • At least seven years of relevant experience across cyber security, industrial automation, controls engineering or infrastructure, including a minimum of three years focused on OT/ICS security.
  • Demonstrable experience carrying out hands-on OT security assessments, ideally using IEC 62443, and translating findings into realistic remediation programmes.
  • Good understanding of industrial technologies and environments, including PLC, SCADA, DCS, HMI, engineering workstations and industrial networks.
  • Strong practical knowledge of OT network segmentation, firewalls, secure remote access, asset discovery, vulnerability management, monitoring and incident response.
  • Experience working in manufacturing or another industrial environment where safety, production availability and operational continuity are critical.
  • Experience dealing with legacy or end-of-life OT technologies where conventional IT security approaches cannot simply be applied.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritise competing risks and progress work without requiring detailed day to day direction.
  • Confidence working with Plant Directors, engineers, technicians, IT teams, OEMs, system integrators and external security specialists.
  • The ability to translate technical OT security issues into clear operational, safety, financial and business-continuity risks.
  • Fluent business English. Additional European languages would be advantageous.

A degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, Automation, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience, is expected.

Practical ISA/IEC 62443 training or certification is strongly preferred. Qualifications such as GICSP, CISSP, CISM or relevant industrial automation/vendor certifications would also be advantageous.
