Job Description

To strengthen our team in Nymburk, Czech Republic, we are looking for an Order Management Manager (m/f/d).

 

Your tasks

  • Management of the Order Management organizational structure – direct supervision of two department heads (Order Desk and Engineering), responsibility for goals, KPIs, performance reviews, and the development of these teams.
  • Responsible for end-to-end order management in collaboration with the Order Desk, including coordination across Engineering (including Technology) and Project Management until the successful completion of the order.
  • The position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations at the Nymburk plant.
  • Responsible for end-to-end order management from receipt through handover to production in collaboration with the Order Desk, with a focus on data quality, process stability, and transparency
  • Manages delivery performance (COTD, POTD) and actively manages the backlog, including prioritization and corrective actions
  • Identifies and eliminates the root causes of delivery issues using structured methods (e.g., root cause analysis, 5 Whys)
  • Coordinates collaboration across Sales, Supply Chain, Production, and Quality to align priorities and resolve conflicts
  • Ensures high-quality execution of Engineering and Technology activities, including technical readiness and production support
  • Is responsible for project management of orders to ensure they are delivered on time, at the required quality, and within budget
  • Standardizes and improves processes in Order Management, Engineering, and related activities (Lean, digitalization)
  • Monitors and evaluates key KPIs, manages risks and escalations, and ensures a high level of customer service

Your profile

  • University degree in mechanical engineering, economics, or a related field
  • Experience in order management, engineering, or project management in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing the entire order lifecycle and managing the backlog
  • Responsibility for delivery KPIs and the ability to solve problems in a structured manner (RCA, 5 Whys)
  • Knowledge of connections to Engineering and Technology (technical documentation, industrialization, basics of production preparation/CNC)
  • At least 5–8 years of experience in engineering, including at least 3 years in a leadership role; experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Advanced analytical skills, focus on processes, efficiency, and quality; strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent Czech, advanced English (B2/C1), advanced knowledge of MS Excel, experience with ERP systems, willingness to travel within the EU, and a Class B driver’s license
