Job Description

Your responsibilities

  • Strategic, customercentric development of an evidencebased, futureproof product 
    portfolio across entire product life time
  • Global management of the product line, ensuring competitive positioning and continuous 
    improvement, especially based on PL Data (internal / external) and KPI’s Maintenance of 
    project & portfolio tracking tools / data sources to facilitate communication and decision 
    making
  • Understand market trends / customer requirements and translate to product 
    requirements and feed so the R&I funnel
  • Initiate and supervise product strategy, new developments, upgrades and  termination 
    and, in coordination with R&I, PD and NPI  
  • Initiate and steer development of configuration, design, calculation and costing tools (eg 
    KSRT), in coordination with C&P
  • Develop themselves as Product Line experts, continuously collect and capitalize product 
    know how, share across the organization best practices and lesson learn
  • Maintain all necessary documentation (e.g., technical specifications for product 
    developments, product brochures, handbooks and trainings materials, except PD 
    operational documents).
  • Competitor monitoring and analysis, including with MI support and input data
  • Supports upstream GSE, Sales and Service teams as well as downstream operations teams 
    in technical meetings with customers, collecting “Voice of Customer” from bid stage to 
    recuring or major warrantee claims 

 

Your profile

  • Preferably a university degree (Master of Science, Dipl.-Ing., or equivalent) in a business‑related or technical field.
  • Significant and relevant technical experience in the heat exchanger industry is essential.
  • Additional qualifications such as IWE, PE, Eur. Ing., or Chartered Engineer are considered a strong plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in product development (e.g., R&D, application engineering, PLM) or technical sales.
  • Experience in project and lateral management.
  • Solid understanding of the heat exchanger market.
  • Experience in customer‑facing roles, ideally supporting technical or commercial discussions.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Strong command of MS Office applications (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic working knowledge of SAP.
  • Strong analytical thinking, flexibility, and a customer‑oriented approach.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with remote teams successfully.
  • Excellent communication skills and a high level of resilience.
  • Team‑oriented mindset combined with openness, creativity, and a forward‑thinking attitude.
  • Pragmatic and conscientious approach when analyzing past performance and deriving improvements.
  • Willingness for occasional travel, largely self‑planned depending on product line needs.
  • Experience collaborating with teams in India or familiarity with Indian working culture is highly beneficial, as one of our manufacturing sites is located there and regular interaction may be required.
