Head of Computational Physics

We are looking for a Head of Computational Physics to join our Global Technology Organisation with immediate effect:

The task:

  • Building heat exchangers is our business – in that, research & innovation is the starting point for technical excellence. You will be responsible for supporting and accelerating the product development process with virtual methods in order to optimize cost of experimenting.
  • The head of computational physics reports to the head of research & innovation within our technology organization. You will be managing a virtual team of CFD / FEA engineers. You will interact on an international level with other technology functions like product development, but also with functions outside technology like sales or manufacturing, ESG and QM.
  • The main task is to support research projects, sales and product engineering with thermal and mechanical simulations and designs, to ensure compliance with ESG and QM standards while also surveying and assessing technical trends.

Who we are looking for:

  • You hold a university degree in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, physics or process engineering. You have already worked in this area and have gathered expert knowledge in thermodynamics and computational methods, FEM, CFD, etc.
  • You have solid experience with relevant simulation software, CAD and MS Office products, paired with your ability to explain and present your work and working results in a simplified and convincing manner. You also enjoy driving change and innovation in a corporate environment and developing your team.
  • Your ability to  think and solve problems in an analytical way comes without saying. A good command of German and English is a must, any other language is helpful.
