Head of Plate Research

Welcome to Kelvion, the technology market leader in the global heat exchanger business. We have been producing heat exchangers for almost every conceivable industrial application since the 1920s and offer customised solutions for even the most complex environmental conditions - since 2015 under the Kelvion name.

 

We are looking for a Head of Plate Research to join our Global Technology Organisation with immediate effect:

 

The task

  • Building heat exchangers is our business – in that, research & innovation is the starting point for technical excellence. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing the designs of our plate heat exchangers based on computer simulations and thermodynamic expertise.
  • The head of plate research reports to the head of research & innovation within our technology organization. You will be managing a team of innovators across two of our German locations, Sarstedt and Nobitz-Wilchwitz, and potentially other Kelvion locations.
  • You will interact with other technology functions like product development and product line management, but also with functions outside technology like sales and manufacturing.

 

Who we are looking for

  • You hold a university degree in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, physics or process engineering. You have already worked in this area for a couple of years and have gathered respective experience, preferably with heat exchangers.
  • You have experience with relevant simulation software, CAD and MS Office products, paired with your ability to explain and present your work and working results in a simplified and convincing manner. You also enjoy driving change and innovation in a corporate environment and developing your team.
  • Your ability to  think and solve problems in an analytical way comes without saying. A good command of German and English is a must, any other language is helpful.
